Anti-slip shank with three milled clamping surfaces prevents the drill from spinning in the chuck (from Ø 5.0 mm). Circular holes feature clean, almost burr-free edges. The iron oxide alloy effectively protects against overheating.
The Extreme Dewalt 2 is the specialist for freehand drilling in thin-walled materials. The Extreme 2" center point enables precise spot drilling without running off, and the specially ground shoulder cutting edges mill exact, circular holes with clean edges (from Ø 4.8 mm).
The constantly increasing core diameter in the direction of the shank provides the highest breakage stability in freehand use (from Ø 4.8 mm), with up to 50% increased fracture stability. You can start immediately after insertion with no need for center punching.
Abrasion-resistant size markings, placed outside the clamping area, ensure permanently good legibility (from Ø 5.0 mm).
Application examples include drilling sheet metal and thin-walled profiled materials (as well as tubes without pre-graining) where precise and clean holes are required. It is also very suitable for drilling wood and plastics, and can be used in alloyed and unalloyed steels up to 900 N/mm² tensile strength.
