The sets each contain a hole saw made of tough, break-proof, and stable HSS bimetal for generating breakthroughs, along with a suitable hole saw shaft with a center drill for accepting the hole saw. The saw teeth of the hole saws are made of high-quality material M42 (Co8).

The use of the pressure spring prevents the jamming of the cut-out material between the inner wall of the hole saw and the drill. The material is ejected by the spring force. If this effect is not desired for a particular application, such as for already installed pipes, the spring can be removed manually without additional tools with little effort.
