Yes it has. I sometimes put it on a larger hob anyway, so that it heats up a bit faster...but it's probably not meant to be like that - if only from the energy loss point of view, as the plate then partly heats up to nothing.

Hello, 1. as far as I can tell, it is an enamelled cast iron pan: you can wash the wok with water+rinsing agent, there is no need to burn it in and burnt-in stains can be removed with baking powder+water. However, enamel is not non-stick. Marinated meat or rice sticks strongly. With enough oil, at not too high a temperature and for vegetables or pre-fried meat, it works well. 2. I don't think so. Hard objects could destroy the enamel layer. I would probably use plastic or wood.

Hello, no the product is not enamelled except on the base which is in contact with the hotplate - it is cast iron. I had my doubts at first as there is no non-stick coating but in use I have found that this is not necessary - the heat is really evenly distributed. I use it 2-3 times a week. The only negative point is that this wok is very heavy which makes it more difficult to handle when cleaning
