I bought the mini device some time ago, but still can't manage to pair it. I'm trying with a Garmin Fénix 5X plus. I can find the device in the settings, but after a few seconds of searching, the watch reports that no device was found.

I connected the part with the F3 and F6. It worked fine via the menu in the watch, without any problems. Even after replacing the battery, the mini part connected to the watch immediately. I also had problems with other ANT+ devices. They had to be replaced. I would send the MiniPart in via the Digitec support page. It's easy :-)
