The Fischer Thermax 8 offset mounting system is a solution for attaching fixtures to exterior walls without thermal bridges in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). The dowel bolt with its fiber-reinforced cone self-cuts through the plaster into the insulation material. During installation, the dowel bolt is screwed into the universal anchor UX, securely anchoring it in the substrate. The anti-cold cone at the head of the dowel bolt interrupts the thermal bridge and takes up the external attachment. The Thermax is used to fasten light loads such as lights, letterboxes, or lightning conductors in concrete, aerated concrete, and masonry made of perforated and solid stone.
Advantages: The offset mounting allows for adjustment of the attached component for precise positioning, avoiding pressure points or damage to the ETICS. The plastic cone interrupts the thermal bridge between the attached component and the internal fastening, providing an energy-optimized attachment. The fiber-reinforced plastic cone self-cuts into the ETICS, enabling simple and fast installation without special tools. The combination of the Thermax 8 with the universal anchor UX securely anchors in the substrate. Without the UX anchor, direct installation in a wooden substrate is also possible after pre-drilling.
Applications: For thermally separated mounting of signs, lights, letterboxes, motion detectors, rainwater downpipes, lightning conductors, and roller shutter guide rails. Substrates: Concrete, high perforated bricks, lightweight concrete hollow blocks, sand-lime perforated stone, sand-lime solid stone, masonry bricks, aerated concrete, wood.
Functionality: The Thermax 8 is suitable for pre-mounted installation. The self-cutting, fiber-reinforced cone cuts directly through the plaster into the insulation material during installation. The anti-cold cone reliably interrupts the thermal bridge. Installation is carried out without any special tools. When used in wood without anchors, both the wood and the plaster must be pre-drilled: Thermax 8: d0 = 14 mm, h0 = 50 mm.
