In many cases, it is significantly more efficient to anchor a component using the so-called through-mounting method in the substrate. For this through-mounting, we offer our SPAX nail plug. Instead of first inserting the plug into the drilled hole, placing the component, and then screwing in the screw, the plug-screw combination is pushed through the component into the drilled hole as a whole. The plug, made of high-quality nylon, is stable, durable, and highly load-bearing. Unlike conventional plugs, our nail plug is mounted using a hammer strike, so a cordless screwdriver is not necessary for installation. It is only needed if you want to remove the fastening, whether for a correction or during the disassembly of the component. Through-mounting is particularly useful when relatively thin components such as boards, slats, or drywall profiles need to be anchored quickly and securely in a solid substrate.
